A Stanford Study reveals that less than 1% of 5,603 Major League Baseball employees have had the Coronavirus. 26 of the League’s 30 teams participated in the mid-April tests. League Officials are expected to submit a return-to-play plan on Tuesday.
The Athletic’s Ken Rosenthal is reporting that the plan will be to have a shortened season of about 80 games. The proposal is reportedly expected to look like this: regular season starts in early July, teams only play teams in their own geographical regions, and games are played in as many home parks as possible. The postseason will have 7 teams from each League.
