Military Has An Appreciation Flyover

An aircraft flyover ceremony honoring Coronavirus first responders took place over the Johnstown area, this all happening yesterday Afternoon.

It was part of Operation American Resolve, it is a nationwide salute by the Pennsylvania Air National Guard to honor those supporting Coronavirus response efforts.

It started in Pittsburgh with two aircraft in formation over the Forbes Hospital which then flew over UPMC Shadyside and Conemaugh Memororial Medical Center, the final stop in Harrisburg.

The market president for Conemaugh told us that he felt honored to witness this display.

“I think we have come together in many respects, certainly for the healthcare community, and I think this is one of the ways to show recognition across many areas, and frankly I was honored that we were a part of that fly over.”

The display was possible by the 171st Air Refueling Wing and the 193rd Special Operations Wing in Pittsburgh
